V-Note was a local record store run by a guy named Kelley Duncan, and he was my first exposure to what became the cliche of the curmudgeon record store guy. He made me buy Giant Sand, Gibson Bros, the Wailing Ultimate comp, as well as starting my love of stuff from New Zealand. This show makes me think of him big time.
