I entered through the front door. In NY in the 70s and early 80s underage people could drink and smoke pretty easily. And, at fourteen I looked 18. No one, including the doormen at my parent’s apartment knew my real age. I was friendly with some of the door people and bouncers at clubs. So that wasn’t a problem.

I entered through the front door. In NY in the 70s and early 80s underage people could drink and smoke pretty easily. And, at fourteen I looked 18. No one, including the doormen at my parent’s apartment knew my real age. I was friendly with some of the door people and bouncers at clubs. So that wasn’t a problem.
