Oh, very interesting. Thank you, Handy @). Very sad and tragic that the American educational system was actually sold a bill of goods by a business selling an alternate method of reading instruction that replaced phonetics in most schools, and produced a lot of kids who could not read very well. Many school systems (eg, NYC's) have now gone back to phonetics.
