As to the name: We changed their name to Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, because they were their actual nicknames and because we wanted to stress their very distinct personalities in a climate which regarded bands as collectives".[3] Amey said: "Our name was given to us by our management at the time. Even all the DJs at the time had trouble saying it too including Kenny Everett who would stumble pronouncing it on purpose. I guess it helped us at the time".[1] According to Beaky, Amey got the nickname "Tich" as he was significantly smaller amongst his peers growing up.

The Capitol re-opened about ten years ago and they feature regular shows by Phil Lesh and Dead cover bands. They even have a small cafe in the building called Garcia's. Whenever I walked by the place on my way home from visiting my family, I'd smell weed and patchouli.
