Just got home. Funny enough looking at Peterson's career one could say on a better team he might have been great or that in today's game he wouldn't even make the show.

Finally, the Peterson-Kekich swap discussion that I promised, but failed to deliver, on Flot's Spot show #100

I've been reading one of Peterson's books about is time on the Yankees otherwise known as the Horace Clark era. He desperately needed an editor.

I saaw Fritz play. You, Mike, are no Fritz Petersen.

David Shortell:

I read in "No Slam Dancing, No Stage Diving, No Spikes: An Oral History of New Jersey's Legendary City Gardens" about the Residents' 1986 performance at that Trenton venue.
They'd lost an eyeball earlier in that tour, so had to use a big skull in its place.

Hi Dean:
This is from a performance early 2023 released few months ago. Yes think a lot of old songs. Don't know their stuff well just that it's a challenging listen to say the least. This dvd/cd is great stuff, I thought, with SF Conservatory ofMusic young people. A spectacle.

Never saw them. Played LA few years back @ Fonda and it wasn't terribly exciting. This new thing is cool, I thought.
  9:37pm
Dean:

Saw The Residents' Mole Show in LA at the Roxy. Delightful. Also saw Tubes at CSU Fullerton. That was quite an experience. The seating was "festival," which means a bunch of belligerent assholes smashed the glass doors to get closer to their fetish. And yet the show was wonderful.

Never get tired of the Merman

Great stuff. Vaguely remember Roxy Mole. Saw Tubes many times, every tour of first dozen or so; amazing show they put on and rocked.

Yes, LBJ.
The first time Reagan was referenced in a pop song might've been in 1969 in "Up in the Air" by the Kasenetz-Katz Super Circus.

Erik/VT:

Heya - it’s been awhile …
Thanks for that half hour of special secret concert Residential music(al). -twas like a ‘revue’ for them. I collected their vinyls starting with Commercial Album (1980?) & couldn’t help but travel backward to some vintage eyed’ball (heh!😏) albums. Partial to the early years … say up to Tunes of 2 Cities (?) Mark of the Mole was fun listening for a teenager. But must admit Eskimo was the one that freaked me out at first blush listen.
Those where heady days in musical discovery.
