Funny you should mention that, we went there too, and our Chinese friend Julie told us about how she’d gotten ribbed for accidentally pronouncing it “Purple Dick” recently, and as a result, there were dick jokes all day long. (Also checked out Claudius Smith Den, which is less ripe for such material, but nice views, and not a busy trail at all.)
