Speaking of mackeral, the alleged feces flinger was apprehended carrying a bag of raw fish, which she told police she was going to fling at another neighbor's house. Tuesday is her busiest day, apparently.

Dean:

On a recent cab ride return from Oakland International Airport the driver was on a phone call when I entered the vehicle. He was speaking in a foreign language. When he finished and we were on the road, I asked if he was speaking Amharic. He did a double-take, as if to ask, "How did you know that"? Well, I spent a very brief amount of time many decades ago exploring the language. A similar thing happened with Navajo. In each case, the resources I used to study the language were at my public library.
