What?:

Sensurround involved the installation of large, low frequency, horn-loaded speakers which contained specially designed 18-inch Cerwin-Vega Model 189 ES drivers in custom black wood cabinets. Three horn configurations were available, Model-C (Corner), Model-W (Folded Bass Bin) and Model-M (Modular). The Model-C and -M horns required stacking in groups of four, increasing effective horn mouth size to achieve the low frequency target. They came with special extenders used to widen the mouths of the horns and take advantage of the theater walls to further increase low frequency extension. The Model-M horn had a dedicated "Mouth-Extender" available when it was used in the front of the theater. While installation was customized and varied in each theater, the Sensurround horns were typically placed beneath the screen in front and in the back corners of the theater. Often, rows or sections of seats would have to be removed to make room for the large Sensurround horns. In large theaters, up to 20 individual horns might be used along with custom-built bat wings and mouth extenders.

For some reason Jacqueline Dalya was misidentified as Rita Hayworth in a documentary extra on the Treasure Of The Sierra Madre DVD, claiming she made a cameo as a favor to John Huston. If I remember correctly, a couple of talking heads swore it was Hayworth, though it didn't look anything like her. Now a quick Google of Jacqueline Dalya has revealed the truth I always suspected. Cypress Street Viaduct in SF , It replaced an earlier single-deck viaduct constructed in the 1930s as one of the approaches to the San Franciscoโ€“Oakland Bay Bridge.

It was located along Cypress Street between 7th Street and Interstate 80 in the West Oakland neighborhood.

It officially opened to traffic on June 11, 1957, and was in use until October 17, 1989. At approximately 5:04 p.m. that day, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck the Bay Area, resulting in a large portion of the freeway's upper deck collapsing onto the lower deck. The collapse killed 42 people and resulted in the subsequent demolition of the structure

Yes. I worked the door on open mic nights for 5 years. By the time I left, I had figured I'd seen 11,000 sets of comedy. It was a big era for up and coming comedians in the early 80s. Even the experienced ones (think Robin Williams) would hone their acts doing open mic.

Was doing backbreaking landscaping outside during the show which sucked. Rex helped. I guess I wonโ€™t grab him by the ankles.

That was probably the Safeway on Market. There were skateboarders back there as I recall. Also, a funeral home.
