I was biking on Horseneck Rd,
traveling from Big Piece Rd
towards Hook Mountain
and right after the art 80 overpass
I saw a huge fieldstone fireplace & chimney
set back a bit in the woods.
No house, just the fireplace.
Any idea what was there?
and what happened to the rest of it?

I had done some research and found that back in 40’s there used to be a military training range in that area, the ruins are likely associated with the range or jut an old farm house.

When my mother had shingles years back before GoodRx, she was in such pain that she agreed to pay full price ($600+) for an ointment that wasn’t covered by her insurance. One of the pharmacists whom we didn’t know at all spent 15 minutes to find a way for her to get the amount she needed for $140. We didn’t even ask for that effort.
His name was Daniel and we’ll always be thankful to him for his kindness.
