I’m sorry for your loss. They just don’t live long enough, damn it, no matter how long they live. In September 2022, my wife and I let Otto live a week too long with terminal cancer, and we regret it every day. When his big sister Shena was in end-stage kidney failure three months later, we didn’t make the same mistake.

I recall an episode of your show, Bob, in which you and your listeners tried to create a compendium of die-cut album covers.

Some Drummer Stream news: Mike Lupica, who just joined Give the Drummer Radio with a new weekly show called The Hotwire Mandate, has extended his program to three hours! It will now run 10pm to 1am (ET), every Saturday night. This marks the stream first-ever program to cross the midnight rubicon!

That's really nice! My sister's ashes are in a bench in a park w/o tombstones. There really are some nice alternatives.

Someone I know considered having her late dearly beloved dog's cremation ashes turned into a diamond...which is weird, but apparently (checked online) it is a thing

Congrats. Of all the streams, Drummer should be the true home of smooth cruisin'-around uptown and downtown and all around sounds in the wee wee hours on everyone's dials

Clearly, you like a cappella vocal music, Bob. Check out Moss, which features Theo Bleckmann, and for early music--very early music--Sequentia, though some of their albums include instrumental accompaniment. Their Aquitania album--12th century Christmas music--is stunning.

Great show!!! Family is one of my all time favorite bands. I first heard of them from the documentary of the Kralingen pop festival in 1970 called Stamping Ground in the US. The footage of them performing "Drowned In Wine" was pretty spectacular as Roger Chapman looked like a wild man shaking around and throwing the mic stand down at the end of the performance. It left me needing to look further into this band and they have been a favorite ever since.

Thank you for the Family feature. Got turned on to them in late 1970, have all their initial LPs through '73, plus bought the Once Upon a Time box set but don't listen to them often enough. Interesting to hear their distinct creative edge right from their first single. And many thanks for all the other tunes as well. Saturday has become a hectic day for me, so I'm an archive listener for now. Again, many thanks.
