	12:38pm Dean: I took French for two years in college with an amusing professor who taught us various expressions for "drunk" and "hungover." I raced through four years of Spanish, self-paced, in two years of high school. Now I talk so quickly that native speakers can't understand me.

Instead, I went to their office on Rue de Paradis. They welcomed me, fed me lunch, and let me attend a rehearsal of another early music ensemble using their space. A beautiful consolation for missing the train! I'll grab it, mackeral, and send it your way. Gidon and Martha have more than a handful of splendid recordings.
