I had a professor tell me that Paul Robeson Jr. is not a reliable source. So what should i think?

Paul Jr. once gave a speech at Laguardia expressly to all the Black Port Authority cops and the talk was well received.

Paul Jr. wrote diversity is always in relation to something. In America, Diversity is in relation to whiteness. Black Americans whose ancestors endured bondage and Jim Crow have not yet been welcomed into our society. The melting pot has excluded Black people -so Paul Jr. Proposes a beautiful American Mosaic- this is a very short summary, please forgive any simplification or oversight

Think Lynch is overall about the relation between surface 'Normality' & the otherwise Strangeness of Society & Life.
& each project approaches that in a distinct way - as serves it...
If other people could get Surrealism up on the screen like he does - they'd be doing it...

i actually think i'd like David Lynch movies. i was late learning about him (except blue velvet, which i may've seen *before* i was ready) i just never see movies except when someone else gets me to. and that'll probably never happen again.

Thinks it's interesting that often the most Abstract is the most Universal. Because yes - we all have an Inside. As in Japanese Manga - the individuals are Cartoonish - & supposed 'objective' Reality portrayed with relative 'Realism'...

I'm not into Cinema @ all like I am into Music or other things. I like MonsterMovies - real trash & juvenilia. ( There's WatchParties for those. Which is somewhat like 'someone getting you to'.)
But having seen Lynch - he leaves some effect ...a little like Kubrick - whom I'm pretty sure Lynch recalls in some respects...
