Kittimu:

Hey kind of a weird question but I really don't know where else to ask: does anyone know if Andrew Matheson from the Hollywood Brats is dead or still alive? (Was having a discussion about that band recently with a friend and it got us both wondering)
  3:14pm
Cheree July:

Not sure Kittimu.
Avatar 3:15pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:12
I don't know. I'm guessing you already did a google search. A Hollywood Brats wikipedia page would probably stay updated regarding deaths. I don't know that either for sure though.
  3:16pm
Kittimu:

Good point. I looked at his Wikipedia page and there's nothing about him dying on there and those editors are usually pretty up to date, although I don't know how close they watch obscure musicians like that
  3:17pm
Kittimu:

I do feel like if he was dead I would've heard about it. But the reason I was discussing it is he hasn't been on any of his public social media pages in like 3 years and he strikes me as one of those guys who's nigh impossible to shut up

DJ BONG 'LUDES:

i played "she moans" last saturday night @ the screwdriver
Avatar 3:19pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:16
exactly . I'm trying to remember if I have seen them up to date close in time to a death. what kind of facebook group pages do the hollywood brats show up in? maybe they would know. or look at who his friends are. when somebody to that degree of fame kind of in an underground scene yet kind of well known to many who record shop regardless of taste, I go to their facebook personal pages. If they die people who are their friends post there quickly.
  3:20pm
Cheree July:

Well, this Rubettes song will be guaranteed stuck in my head for a week.
  3:20pm
Kittimu:

Oh that's smart. I can see if any of the other band members have Facebook pages.
Avatar 3:20pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Debbie Davenport @3:19
I have to check fb pages for relatives too. Otherwise I will wish them a happy birthday in a way that is obvious I think they are still alive.
Avatar 3:21pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:20
yeah. and you don't have to be their fb connection. some will post about it publicly.
  3:22pm
Kittimu:

I'm not wishing him a happy birthday because I don't like him. But good advice all around.
  3:22pm
Kittimu:

Cheree, that Rubettes song always gets really stuck in my head too
Avatar 3:23pm
Debbie Davenport:

I've had that Rita Pavone song My Name Is Potato stuck in my head. For days! Maybe that rubettes song will push it out.
  3:25pm
Kittimu:

One time I had that rubettes song in my head really badly but I couldn't remember the title and I only had a couple of the lines looping in my head so I got up at like 3 AM and was frantically googling "it's just another name for rock'n'roll"
  3:27pm
Cheree July:

If there was any Junkshop Glam song that could have a KPop cover version, it would be I Can Do It by the Rubettes.

  3:44pm

I like the whistling part of this song
  3:45pm
Kittimu:

I like when songs have a bit that sounds like you fell into an alternate universe for a sec
Avatar 3:49pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:45
I used to be uptight about that. LIke in the 70's when I was eager to have rock on a dancefloor, I'd get into a groove with freebird, then it would get fast when they said the fly high part. it totally wrecked the making out style dancing that would work up towards that part. Took me years to get over being uptight about that. probably because I don't see music in dance floor ways anymore. just concerts.

It's already been a all-time favorite Wired Up! but do we have David Werner's Whizz Kid coming up? It would seal the deal.
