No. This was recorded back before Hoof 'n' Mouth was at Monty Hall, back before it was even at Maxwell's -- when it was small and in Studio A. I was there and living in Manhattan at the time, so it musta been 2006 or 2007.

Yes, come to think of it Scott Williams (not WFMU's own very excellent Scott Williams) and band were performing under another, deceptively generic-sounding band name that escapes me. My fave tune tune then: Barbeque. Check Ken Freedman's archives, he loves that song.

there were dancers, actors, musicians, and a lot of stuff going on.

my set encompassed everything (i brought 6 crates of records) that i listen to, which is well, everything. I did have 3 hour techno set to have the spectators dancing for the post midnight set, i had ambient for the pre-dawn, but yes, noise, avant-garde, contemporary composition, free jazz, etc (even indie rock jams).

as an aging Bowie fanboy collector…I have always found “heroes” album such a curious and enigmatic collection of songs and sound. Even among all of his hard to pin down latter career (talkin entire albums here). I find “heroes” remains surprisingly fresh, especially when long breaks have been taken. Anyway … blah blah blah.
