Ahhh, thee mighty Syd...hi, Larry!

WLSClark:

Larry, the Take me for A little while 45 was actually B side of first 67 Keep me hangin on 45. Then when it caught fire in 68, they took Awhile off B side and issued it as an A side as followup. The weird thing is Atco also made a promo EP with Hangin on as 1 of 4 songs and the othewr 3 were BEATLES covers.

I keep forgetting how many really good covers Vanilla Fudge did. One of my faves back in the day

All three of the things I'll play by them today were initially unissued. They had 4 45s for Decca that are all great, but this stuff is just as good.

Hey Mike! I was just thinking of Mr Luther - who turned me on to Mighty Baby - describing them as a British Grateful Dead. I'm not sure the comparison holds up for long, but it's a gateway in to their music.

"Days of Future Passed" gets more notoriety, but I think I always liked this LP a bit more because it's "purer" Moody Blues in the main. Plus, if I ever had an English butler, I always wanted him to look like Ray Thomas.
