This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

This show is one for repeat exploring via archives.
Yet aren’t they All. Re VDParks : I’m a silly fan as well. Song Cycle is sumpin else. But I must say my soft spot lands on his unusual Musical take on Joel Chandler Harris’ “Uncle Remus” stories. It’s lush & heavily orchestrated innovative arrangements are jaw dropping.
“Tokyo Rose” is a bit of a weaker album. Yet, Appreciate them All. I still hafta digest the latter “Songs Cycled” 2013. I hear it’s a good one.
Btw: I’m not familiar with the track or album that y’all opened with ! Is it under VDParks’ moniker via Discogs?

The VDParks Uncle Remus album is titled “Jump” 1984. It doesn’t appeal to everyone as it plays out as if it’s an imagined Broadway Musical! - full blooded musical singing styles ta boot - but oh what a voice & arrangements!
- it took me 3 or 4 spins as a 24 year old to comprehend the richness that lies There-in. I had a friend comment that it sounded like an unusual forgotten Disney’s musical.
