They were offered to be after appearing on the label's Subterranean Modern compilation, but turned it down (some accounts assert it was because they didn't like the other acts on the label, and certainly Edge was cantankerous enough to have said something like this, but probably because, at that point, there likely didn't seem to be much upside in going with them over continuing to put out stuff on their own Siren label)

That's so weird but you're correct. Perhaps shades of the Mandela Effect, I always assumed that Chrome at least had some singles or an album on Ralph, but indeed their sole Ralph outing was Subterranean Modern as you say.

If you get a chance, play a track from the Swiss band Flame Dream's album featuring guitarist Dale Hauskins. He was decidedly not Swiss. Grew up in Downey, CA, and visited the record store where I worked. I hung out with him. He's a pretty damn good prog guitarist in the Holdsworth vein, and he *loved* Hillage.
