It gets very eerie with yellow or brown skies thick with haze that blocks the sun. We smell the smoke too.

Was it a "rosy" sunrise, Krys? (Guessing maybe you saw the sunrise since you are up an out early on workday mornings).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09am

↳ WR @10:06
Hi, WR! It was less hazy at 6 am. The sun was slightly obscured and not as pink colored. I live ten miles from Manhattan at 400 feet above sea level. I can see the NYC & Jersey City skyline from my apartment window on a clear day in winter when there are no leaves on the nearby trees.

Yes, when singing in French was still more popular than singing in English.

Air quality is very unhealthy in Western and Eastern Essex County right now. Schools are closed in some towns.

↳ Song: "Whistle While You Work" by "Adriana Caselotti"
Wow, reading Wikipedia on Caselotti, did not expect to read of a career stifled by having uncredited role of Snow White.
  Swag For Life Member 10:40am
WR:

↳ Song: "Oh Johnny Oh" by "Orrin Tucker"
Somehow the oh Johnny Oh song is part of a lewd joke or game I encountered at a very very young age. Can't recall any details.

↳ Jan Turkenburg @10:28
I was thinking of possible political or cultural nationalism coming after WWII but you are likely right regarding general reference to French influences.

Yes, the only reason we have these OTR recordings anyway, is that they were pressed on disc and not recorded on tape. The material they used to make the discs however....
