That was nice. Kid Congo Powers and I went to see The Ike and Tina Turner Review at The Aquarius Theater in Hollywood in 1973. The Staples Singers opened the show. Totally nuts, right?

Jill Kroesen:

I started singing for the first time right after hearing Tina singing 3 O’Clock in the morning.

Hi Jill, I've noticed on the last few Ned Sublette Post-Mambo Zooms that you have been participating. I try to attend if I don't have to work. I'm on there as 'Ray B". Have you gone on any of Ned's trips?

Oleh from Pittsburgh:

Sistah Ray! Oh yes

Hi WR!! That’s great that you are on Ned’s zooms!! I’ll look for you. I haven’t gone with Ned, but I went to Cuba for a 2 week drum class with someone he recommended in 2009. Have you?

Who was doing electronics on this Ochs song? It really has the oscillator signature of the LA band USA, specifically Joe Byrd. Great!
