Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from May 5, 2023 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

yARdbiRdS' 'I'm Not Talking' is such a tight bitchen track - for a RawkGittar Head (& even a Diddler myself) - I feel compelled to defend it. Yet of course - Mose originals are Jazz with a different touch & all the lyrics & sly irony intact. An odd little thing he was understated & all these heavy Rawkers latched onto his tunes.

Each chapter is a beautiful thing in and of itself. So much there. I read his short stories years ago and kept that physical book because I loved them so much.
