I think here they don't trust the process so replant with bulbs about to open every year, at least in the tonier parts of Manhattan.

I haven't gone to The Blue Note in a kazillion years, though, they pack 'em in like sardines (even compared to the usual sardine-packing of jazz clubs).
	12:39pm northguineahills: the only maintenance my garden ever needed was the applying of the ladybugs and setting the beer traps for the slugs...(couldn't do anything about armadillos, the beer traps weren't deep enough)

We have azaleas growing like weeds since the root structure seems to spread and pop new ones up at will. I had a couple that I had to go after with a sawzall at the root level just to get rid of them.

She was remembering how many little jazz clubs and brunch places she used to play in down there when she had the jazz band (as heard on 100 Percent Whatever!). All gone now, I think.

Their problem, they had the best sound system I've ever come across. You can hear/feel the full range, and your ears wouldn't be ringing when you left, as they had no need for volume to mask the lack of fidelity in the soundsystem like other clubs. They made no money (only had good sound acts, not crowd pleasers), and closed in 2014.

I haven't gone to The Blue Note in a kazillion years, though, they pack 'em in like sardines (even compared to the usual sardine-packing of jazz clubs).

We have azaleas growing like weeds since the root structure seems to spread and pop new ones up at will. Their problem, they had the best sound system I've ever come across. You can hear/feel the full range, and your ears wouldn't be ringing when you left, as they had no need for volume to mask the lack of fidelity in the soundsystem like other clubs. They made no money (only had good sound acts, not crowd pleasers), and closed in 2014.
