It set up as children, for a lifetime of manipulation, while mom and dad were elsewhere, unable to cope with being present at all times, unavailable to provide guidance and exemplary behaviour for us, due to demands on them that seemed impossible to navigate. Post-war ideas marketed to them by government policies and private-sector advertising, and seminal TV demonstrated to them daily their own inadequacies, shortcomings that were revised and reinforced every second. The 4 food groups, eat more sugar, get a new car, your house is too small, your kids don't have this and that, you're smoking the wrong cigarettes, you deserve to vacation in Disneyland like every other real person who isn't a loser, you're a loser because you don't have kids, you're not helicopter-parenting your kids properly, take these pills to kill the headache, find a community on Fakebook, share your emptiness and tell yourself you have 3000 friends, your kid doesn't have the latest phone and they hate you so keep them hooked up and they'll get off your back and anyway you have to get back to work and you'll be back later there's stufff in the freezer for the microwave and don't let me catch you on Pornhub again, and and I gotta go, and how's university and why don't you ever call me and why don't I understand anything and why can't I find the answer on the internet? Hello? Hello? Is there anyone there?

It set up as children, for a lifetime of manipulation, while mom and dad were elsewhere, unable to cope with being present at all times, unavailable to provide guidance and exemplary behaviour for us, due to demands on them that seemed impossible to navigate. Post-war ideas marketed to them by government policies and private-sector advertising, and seminal TV demonstrated to them daily their own inadequacies, shortcomings that were revised and reinforced every second. The 4 food groups, eat more sugar, get a new car, your house is too small, your kids don't have this and that, you're smoking the wrong cigarettes, you deserve to vacation in Disneyland like every other real person who isn't a loser, you're a loser because you don't have kids, you're not helicopter-parenting your kids properly, take these pills to kill the headache, find a community on Fakebook, share your emptiness and tell yourself you have 3000 friends, your kid doesn't have the latest phone and they hate you so keep them hooked up and they'll get off your back and anyway you have to get back to work and you'll be back later there's stufff in the freezer for the microwave and don't let me catch you on Pornhub again, and and I gotta go, and how's university and why don't you ever call me and why don't I understand anything and why can't I find the answer on the internet? Hello? Hello? Is there anyone there?
