Both shows were awesome in very different ways. The first time was before Atomizer came out and it was sparsely populated. One of those shows where no one was there I wasn't on a first name basis with, so it was especially riveting to watch them that way. The second time was packed and very exciting...also they set off all these firecrackers, which...No Bar was little more than a basement, it was scary and everyone ended up with black gunpowder snot as a result.

It's always painful to hear how the de-evolution of grass roots culture affects it's creators. Everyone gets old and looses the stamina to push rocks up the hill. Count yourself lucky if you saw/heard something vital flourish before it folded in on itself.

BTW back in the day I used to write down the names of bands I liked while listening to The NAS on WNYU-FM. When I heard the band name Windy & Carl, I wrote down Wendy & Carl.
