He was burning the candle on both ends with all his projects and shows, so I expect him to take time off but hope to hear he is doing better.

So all the comedians started zinging us as we were doing our shows. I mostly wanted to play this because JUICE MACHINE loaned their PA for this performance, and they have had a very bad week, as one of them passed this last weekend. I'll be assembling a tribute to JUICE MACHINE for the week after the Marathon.

Roedelius STILL kicking ass, this many years later, with Soriah helping him out! I've had the pleasure of recording Soriah a number of times, and he was one of the last people I saw before the pandemic kept me mostly in the Mid-Valley.

If anyone has any suggestions, or would like to record a small spoken tribute for that upcoming show, I would happily include it. Juice Machine touched a lot of us, and we all have a lot to say.

A combination of collage, new experimental records and other bits and bobs, Mid-Valley Mutations is a tour through the mind of Austin Rich, who has been broadcasting in some form since 1998. Heavily influenced by Dr Demento, Don Joyce and old fashioned College Radio, Austin creates Audio Essays on a variety of subjects, and even just plays records, from time to time. Sometimes Live music and Interviews will grace the program, helping create a situation where you don't really know what you're going to hear, when you tune in. I'll be assembling a tribute to JUICE MACHINE for the week after the Marathon.
