(even though i had a thing with someone who was very into her) ...but i always figured Martha haters were like beatles haters or Coltrane haters -they almost always are unfamiliar with it except on a very superficial level but are desperate to appear as distanced from mainstream as possible.

You think they would have splurged on a new tape rather than tape over an existing one, but hey, indie labels like Bomp had to watch their finances... From what I understand, the latest pressings of Pebbles are new recordings. My copy of "Action Woman" doesn't skip. And no old Billy Idol bands in the background.

Heavily influenced by Dr Demento, Don Joyce and old fashioned College Radio, Austin creates Audio Essays on a variety of subjects, and even just plays records, from time to time. Sometimes Live music and Interviews will grace the program, helping create a situation where you don't really know what you're going to hear, when you tune in. What you need to know is when you enter the Mid-Valley region, be prepared for the Musical Mutations... in whatever form they take.

From what I understand, the latest pressings of Pebbles are new recordings. My copy of "Action Woman" doesn't skip. And no old Billy Idol bands in the background.
