And I still can't taste anything. Bummer about the hard drive, Mary! Did you have everything backed up? And what are you going to do about the 2000 browser tabs you had open?

"Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library."

I was so furious, and every person I spoke to could not figure out how to fix it. It took TWO AND A HALF MONTHS before I finally got a response, where they admitted that they fucked up, and gave me a free year of membership as a consolation prize. I swear I was going to lose my mind in those two months, though.

Enjoyed the Bach/Carlos on the drive, but the exactness of it makes me think I still like live musicians playing this stuff better. Which makes me think of the many musicians that lost gigs since electronic instruments became widely available. But then there's Donna Summer, the cool stuff she did with it (and many creative musicians using electronics after her). I swear I was going to lose my mind in those two months, though.
