AC sounds a little like Yeah Yeah Yeahs vocals but with better lyrics. BTW has anybody heard the new YYY album? How is it? I didn't always love their early stuff because the songs sounded unfinished but I recently heard the song "Wolf" and that was awesome. Love the insanely dramatic synths.

Olivia: I also talked with the mastering engineer who mastered Person Pitch about how much I love Person Pitch. He said that working with Panda Bear and Animal Collective was a real treat, that they cared more about how their records were sequenced and mastered than just about anyone, and that he was very pleased that Person Pitch was such a sleeper hit and critical favorite. That record looms very large in my personal favorites.

Ike: I could see how Fever to Tell might come off as underwritten. I think a lot of records are underwritten, but Fever to Tell isn't one. I would say it's a collision between blues and avant garde poetry filtered through rock. Man that sounds like a ridiculously pretentious statement, but read the lyrics, you might see what I mean.

Apparently Milton paced while writing his poems, and there's a characteristic rhythm in (most/all? not a Milton scholar) of them which corresponds to his pace length x the available space in his room.

"Transformation" by Garcia Peoples, interesting. Sounds like they swiped a lot from Ekkehard Ehlers' "Plays John Cassavetes," and that reminds me of this time I went to a hipster dungeon synth-themed dinner at one of those guestauranty "spaces" in Newburgh. One of the performers played a cut off that Ehlers EP in its entirety to close his set. No attribution, just pretending to work his keyboard while it played its entire length.
