@wildneill Maybe a cooler? Like a Coleman camp cooler. It’s plastic and will keep the turkey warm. No spills. Easy cleanup.

@Wild Neil: make sure the floor is flat enough to hold all that, and I think wood is the best surface since it won't conduct heat. A cutting board might be too smooth however - if you have plywood or wood with more friction, I would use that. And "pad" the area around the pan with stuff to keep it from shifting around or tipping over.

Just put the turkey on the roof of the car, and avoid and jerky maneuvers. I once drove to Asheville (55 miles) with a mug of coffee on the roof of the car and didn't spill a drop.

egould: A cooler would be best if it can contain the whole turkey pan. Might need something on the bottom just in case the hot metal might melt the plastic floor.
annette: That's a more effective way of containing the pan based on my principles - and the cardboard box should prevent it shifting around as well.

My mother has presliced for years. Never dry. No stuffing in bird! Bird cooked on bed of veg contributes to pan juices. Put that over top of sliced meat and cover. Keep warm at destination. We do it in oven but crockpot sounds good as well.

Rather than opine on Amanda or Shooby or "Biscuit," I'll make a simple point. When I hear displays of expression that by default I want to hear, I worry when the artists essentially tell me that I must focus on him, I get perturbed.

This is not the case with Shooby. I have the good fortune of being able to hear his utterings.

irwin, i went to stormville this year for the first time since the early 1990s. the ultimate yard sale one was pretty great. i got a 70s grundig tabletop radio for 5 dollars and a felix the cat chalkboard like what i had as a kiddo, again for 5 dollars.

David Byrne is a bit of a genius, but oftentimes Geniuses are somewhat imbalanced in some way.
Oh wow, my dad had a Grundig, is was amazing.
I think Remain in Light was the Talking Head's best album. Eno and I think Adrian Belew were really great. I'm working up the nerve to ask to leave an hour early.
