(more likely a reissue) @wmfromD-I'm always on the lookout for ways to digitize vinyl-I have a releatively inexpensive portal digital recorder that I've used occasionally, but the whole process (recording, splitting tracks, tagging) is so time consuming and annoying that I have only done it 2 or 3 times.

	11:23am doctorjazz: I can't say Mono does it for me, unless it was a very bad stereo mix. But was just listening to a mono Jimi Bold as Love, it did hit hard (but I wouldn't say harder than the stereo). (It was a hi-rez digital file). I'm on the Wfmu "Bob Brainen: Playolst from November 19, 2022" page, but I acdcess it from the last Drummer Stream show I was on with the Give the Drummer Radio link. The last column on my page (with the *) is labeled "Special", not "new", like at the link you posted in the chat. For whatever that's worth.

	11:35am Jeff: Hey doctorjazz, I used to go to The Falcon a lot. I loved that place and loved Tony Falco. He was a great guy - one of the most idealistic persons I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He never compromised his principles and revered artists of all kinds. I’m sure his son Lee will carry on, but I can’t believe Tony is gone.
	11:39am doctorjazz: @Jeff, I've gone there a few times, really like that venue (and I have to drive 1.5 hours to get there-would likely be there much more often if it were closer). They do mention Tony during introductions, Bernstein was a big fan of the place (you could tell the way he spoke about it-have seen him there before with Sex Mob). Don Byron is going to be there soon, thinking of making the trip up to see him (on a side note: the food is better than I remember it being on previous visits).
	11:40am dan: Sandy Denny and Judith Durham should've done a collaboration in the 1970s. That would have been a milestone recording.

	11:50am Jeff: @doctorjazz - so, I guess you were never there pre-covid? The first time I went must’ve been around 8-9 years ago. I live close to an hour away, but that never stopped me. Being immunocompromised and covid still hangin’ around, I haven’t been there since 2019. I saw Redman, Mehldau, McBride and Blade there in 2019. Also, Pat Metheny a few years earlier. But, Tony had a very eclectic booking policy. I saw/heard a wide range of music there. The food was exceptional the very first time; then leveled off to good enough. I always hated seeing people walk out without dropping anything in the donation box. I talked to him about charging something, but he wouldn’t budge. He believed in the essential goodness of people (I don’t). If there wasn’t enough money in the box to pay the players he would always make it up with money from bar/food.
	11:51am Jeff: Actually, more like 10-11 years ago. Can’t believe it’s 2022. Time flies (when you’re not having fun)!
	🥁 11:52am (Mr) Bill: R.I.P. Ned Rorem. He was a meshuggener, but he deserves a peaceful eternity.
	11:52am Bob Brainen: "Covid time" = add 2 years on to everything!
	11:55am doctorjazz: @Jeff, no, never got out until I went to see Sex Mob during COVID (they had an outdoor stage set up so COVID exposure at the tables was minimal)-Modeski guested with Sex Mob, it was a killer of a show. Brought the fam, they all loved it! Food at that show was pretty poor, though, it made a strong impression. I've been there a number of times since, food much better, enjoyed it, in fact. They still have the box for band contributions (I thought that had to do with COVID, not being permitted to be a "music venue", but I see it was the policy pre-pandemic). You can also give the music donation on the credit card bill when you pay your tab if you prefer, same as you add the tip.

According to research by Shawn Rosenberg of the University of California-Irvine, "widow’s peaks (though more so on female candidates) were a clear positive. It was associated with being seen as more competent and with greater integrity".

(more likely a reissue) @wmfromD-I'm always on the lookout for ways to digitize vinyl-I have a releatively inexpensive portal digital recorder that I've used occasionally, but the whole process (recording, splitting tracks, tagging) is so time consuming and annoying that I have only done it 2 or 3 times.

But was just listening to a mono Jimi Bold as Love, it did hit hard (but I wouldn't say harder than the stereo). (It was a hi-rez digital file). 	11:35am Jeff: Hey doctorjazz, I used to go to The Falcon a lot. I loved that place and loved Tony Falco. He was a great guy - one of the most idealistic persons I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He never compromised his principles and revered artists of all kinds. I’m sure his son Lee will carry on, but I can’t believe Tony is gone.
	11:39am doctorjazz: @Jeff, I've gone there a few times, really like that venue (and I have to drive 1.5 hours to get there-would likely be there much more often if it were closer). They do mention Tony during introductions, Bernstein was a big fan of the place (you could tell the way he spoke about it-have seen him there before with Sex Mob). Don Byron is going to be there soon, thinking of making the trip up to see him (on a side note: the food is better than I remember it being on previous visits).

	11:50am Jeff: @doctorjazz - so, I guess you were never there pre-covid? The first time I went must’ve been around 8-9 years ago. I live close to an hour away, but that never stopped me. Being immunocompromised and covid still hangin’ around, I haven’t been there since 2019. I saw Redman, Mehldau, McBride and Blade there in 2019. Also, Pat Metheny a few years earlier. But, Tony had a very eclectic booking policy. I saw/heard a wide range of music there. The food was exceptional the very first time; then leveled off to good enough. I always hated seeing people walk out without dropping anything in the donation box. I talked to him about charging something, but he wouldn’t budge. He believed in the essential goodness of people (I don’t). If there wasn’t enough money in the box to pay the players he would always make it up with money from bar/food.

	11:55am doctorjazz: @Jeff, no, never got out until I went to see Sex Mob during COVID (they had an outdoor stage set up so COVID exposure at the tables was minimal)-Modeski guested with Sex Mob, it was a killer of a show. Brought the fam, they all loved it! Food at that show was pretty poor, though, it made a strong impression. I've been there a number of times since, food much better, enjoyed it, in fact. They still have the box for band contributions (I thought that had to do with COVID, not being permitted to be a "music venue", but I see it was the policy pre-pandemic). You can also give the music donation on the credit card bill when you pay your tab if you prefer, same as you add the tip.
