Tim: Orville Peck's got a hell of a voice. And I can definitely hear the similarity between him & what we're listening to now. Also: OP is just a stage persona for someone whose name I can't remember. The way Buster Poindexter is a stage persona for David Johansen.

I was in the military overseas, and we had no western radio or TV. I would buy LPs judging the cover, such as the greaser look on Bad Boy. Pink Floyd's The Wall was also released at that time; I wondered, "Is this a greatest hits? Cuz i won't buy it if it is."

Only got to see Robert Gordon once. I was a regular at a Long Island record store and the owner took a bunch of us to some kind or retailers onvention in NYC. There was a short concert featuring Blondie, who were great until the sound system kept screwing up; I seem to recall them storming off, with full justification. The Nighthawks also played, and Robert Gordon joined them. I wish I could remember more, but i was pretty excited since I had the first album. I was a bit bummed he didn't play the whole set with them. Musta been 1977/78, because I also remember being excited for getting free swag, including a 45 of Deve Edmunds doing Get Out Of Denver. It's amazing how happy little things can make you when you are a teenager.

Glad to pop in for a moment and see more Robert Gordon! Have to make a shout out to 80s club Heartbreak on Varick Street Manhattan. (I'm not signed in but that's probably a good thing.)

@krys. i saw that is loveless film recently on tcm. rilly kool! it is beautifully shot in 50's style. i loved it, but exxept for dafoe, none of biker characters seemed truly menacing. great tunes, great old cicles, great cinematography, well worthy watching (more than once).

@tim how about that new Prog show?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:19pm
Handy Haversack:

Ha, I dunno, Tim! All of them? I always used to do some prep work for the next day's game while listening to Keilidh's Hits from the Crypt on Sat. nights -- and she appreciated my one-line game recaps, too!

There's been a trend lately among the DIY gaming products that I tend to support to publish playlists for the content, but I never have music on when I play. During football Sundays, I might leave the Jets game on on mute, but otherwise, I can't really pay attention to anything other than what's going on at the table. Too much for my poor abused brain to concentrate on as it is!

I did play in a convention game that was a pretty fun homage to In the Court of the Crimson King.

Drop me a line if you want to sit in on one of our games on Zoom!
