careful, don't want to break anything valuable or that won't grow back.

It's fall--Break everything!! And welcome WR..

Hello DJ Nogood Nick!. Been cooking, can sit for a bit now. Great sounds!
Avatar 7:26pm
djnogoodnick:

Hey Doc! Thanks for dropping in. What's cooking?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm
doctorjazz:

That was Richard Davis? Wow, surprised me!
Preparing a Potato Kugel for the meal before the Yom Kipper fast (basically a cross between a pancake and a quiche), did it like my mom used to, hand grated potatoes and onions (and I see why most normal folks would use a food processor).
Avatar 7:48pm
djnogoodnick:

Oh, sounds extra tasty. I have a corn and butter tofu casserole I'm assembling.
Avatar 7:48pm
djnogoodnick:

And yes, weird session from him on Muse from 1980--I'm sure I remember playing tracks from it before and you commented.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm
doctorjazz:

It's so NOT what you'd expect from him-sure I'll react again if you play it again...
Avatar 7:55pm
djnogoodnick:

I'm into a lot of out-there 70s crossover experiments..

Getting drop outs for a few seconds at a time every once in a while, could be on my end, but thought I'd mention it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm
Uncle Michael:

No dropouts here. Sounding good!
Avatar 8:07pm
djnogoodnick:

I'm relieved! Thanks Uncle Michael!! And appreciate your pointing it out, doctorjazz! Hope it's something you can fix on your side.

solo mon:

hey nick! Great set esp loved hearing asha puthli-
Avatar 8:19pm
djnogoodnick:

Thanks solo man! Actually this is a rather last-minute playlist, but wanted to get a little witchy and Asha kinda does that for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm
Uncle Michael:

OK, this track seems to be breaking up a little. Maybe that's what Doc was hearing.
Avatar 8:24pm
djnogoodnick:

I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm plugged in so that's all in Spectrum's hands.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm
Uncle Michael:

Not gaps. Almost the opposite, like blocks of bytes are getting skipped...like glitches on a CD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
doctorjazz:

It just happened here, just less than a second the sound cut out, then right back.
(Kugel looks good; let it cool, put in the fridge, should be great on Tuesday night).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
doctorjazz:

At the risk of repeating myself (not that that's unheard of), Herb Geller and funk are messing with my head...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33pm
doctorjazz:

I am connected to my stereo via wifi; should set up a wired connector for more reliability (bought a pair of those units you plug into your electrical sockets, then into the router, which is supposed to give you a wired connection without rewiring your house. So far the 2 units don't "see" each other
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
doctorjazz:

How's your hip treating you, UM?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36pm
Uncle Michael:

Healing is slow going, Doc. Been doing a lot and it's pretty wore out at the end of the day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm
Uncle Michael:

The original Hikky Burr was my ringtone forever, until, well, you know.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
doctorjazz:

I had al elbow fracture about 9 years ago (fell mountain biking), ulna just flopping in my arm. Orthopedist didn't recommend surgery; I think they should have pinned it (but who was I to argue with the orthopedist?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
doctorjazz:

It did take a really long time to heal.
(another quick drop out there)
Avatar 8:40pm
djnogoodnick:

I'm not familiar with the original but just looked at the song credit and see what you mean.
Avatar 8:40pm
djnogoodnick:

I'm open to suggestions as to anything I could try on my end to prevent dropouts.

Howdy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm
doctorjazz:

Just happened again, maybe a second (again, could just be on my end, bum WIFI)
  8:43pm
rw:

I believe Hicky Burr was the theme song for the TV show in the '60s. Was it called The Bill Cosby Show?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm
doctorjazz:

This really rocks AND swings!
  8:44pm
rw:

Pretty good jam regardless.
  8:44pm
rw:

And Hicks and Burrs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm
Uncle Michael:

Yes, rw...hence me deleting my ringtone.
Avatar 8:46pm
djnogoodnick:

I feel very ashamed being a Philadelphian AND alumnus of Temple University but I have never seen the 60s Bill Cosby Show (or heard of it).
  8:47pm
rw:

Hey UM, sorry about your hip. I didn't hear what happened, was it related to the biking or was it something else?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47pm
Uncle Michael:

I watched that show in reruns all through the '70s.

Something else. I took a fall at home. I appreciate the empathy.
Avatar 8:48pm
djnogoodnick:

Sorry to hear, Uncle Michael! Hope you heal up quickly.
  8:49pm
rw:

Ugh. Sucks either way. You've had more than your share this past year or so. Yes, heal up quick!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm
doctorjazz:

You looked great, UM, on your Twitch Video during the Friday show, wouldn't know anything had happened.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm
Uncle Michael:

Thank you both.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm

I'm a trouper, Doc.
