How does Robyn H. do it? (Never mind.) / Not bad Yeti, new county flag. NYC needs a new flag I feel. The current one is based on some old Dutch Sea corporation if I recall right. Boring. / 'Ello, David of London.

Kevin-san:

Irene, I think Stanley is referring to a far less pleasant "assembly" than those gathered for the current musical experience. It turns out that Stanley, David in London and I all went to the same secondary school in England, where "morning assembly" was the dreary prelude to our day of learning. We only discovered this when Carol Crow played something by Howard Jones, and one of us said, "I went to school with Howard Jones" and someone else said, "Me too!" and so on. We didn't know each other at the time, but we seem to show up together on the same comment boards now and then.

David (in London):

I went to an evening event at the Science Museum a few years back, and in the bar afterwards they had a DJ entertaining the assembled beautiful people. Not to sound too dismissive, but often in those situations what's being spun on the decks is absolute dreck: lowest common denominator 'beats' and 'chill out' so old and cliched its got whiskers on it. This guy however, was playing some really good stuff, and this track came on and I was thinking 'Man, this is absolutely amazing'. Took me a couple of minutes to realise it was Pharoah, and I fell in love with it all over again.
