	3:41pm StringOFperils: @neveract > It's an old Scottish turntable (circa 40 years ago), an Ariston RD-40...2 speed DC motor, so 2 separate pitch controls...I have a better arm I wanted to put on it...and I have to move the whole system down into a cramped basement space, so the imperious old folks next door don't kill me (or vice versa)

It's usually fairly tight, leaves for NY soon after you get in. So, of course, my train was 20 minutes late, missed the transfer, have to wait about 45 minutes for the next one. Did I say I hate NJ Transit? (Loving the sounds, though...)

	4:06pm DavidJ: I have a Linn Axis (their “entry level” - “only” $1K in 1990) that went on the fritz. I recently replaced all the electrolytic caps on the power supply board, it was harrowing. If I had it to do over I’d send it out to have it done. Delicate multilevel circuit board, finicky to solder.
