Even as it's a dark fascination (Visicalc: The first ever electronic spreadsheet program, totally brilliant, invented by two people in 1979, today's spreadsheet programs are substantially similar to that original, and it totally changed the world, enabled globalization, speeds human civilizations far more rapidly to destruction).
