I love that Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments album. It was kind of a head-scratcher when it came out on a major label. But I think it was American Recordings? Roughly around the time they also put out a Flipper album?

I saw TJSF at Brownies around the time that album came out. What was the other band on the Bill? I think they were Danish? Can't remember their name, but I bought their album, 10" EP, and a single that night. Now I have to go look at my small shelf of 10" records...

I feel like there was a third band. Could it have been Th'Faith Healers? But maybe that was a different night.

I know I'm a few beats behind the playlist, but I've been busy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49pm

We were talking about Tommy the other day on the Music Of Mind Control talkback, because of Meher Baba. All I've got to say about that guy is, if reality is all a dream god is having then he made up Rapekrieg and Marjorie Taylor Greene. So all is lost.

Oh: Hypnagogia is the transitional state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep. It's the opposite of hypnopompia, which is the transitional state that occurs before you wake up. During hypnagogia, it's common to experience involuntary and imagined experiences. These are referred to as hypnagogic hallucinations.

Just surprised not to hear Death Valley Girls (a little)

I’ve ignored the clicky stars. Perhaps out of ignorance. Why bother? I’d say asking for a friend but it’s too late
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31pm

And that thing that happens when you kind of kick yourself awake whene you're nearly asleep is called a hypnagogic jerk. Which would be a great band name
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm

i use the stars for future reference. purely selfish. so it's not necessarily a reflection of my favorite tracks on a given playlist but the ones i want to look into further.

You can export your clicky star list to a Spotify playlist and then listen to everything you liked. Super cool feature. Too bad I don't really use Spotify.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm
coelacanth∅:

it was, and probably still is, that when you've clicked 3000 (? - maybe it was 2000) stars the oldest ones start disappearing as you click new ones; so if you're really going to use them one day you should have the list emailed to you every so often.

HR has been on a slow but steady cognitive decline for some time. Has a social media team running his stuff. Put out a children's book last I heard. Still appears as jubilant as ever and spreading the PMA gospel.

OK, were you really worried, though?

HyperDose: Good to hear (best you can ask for.) Hopefully people are taking good care of him.

Probably at the time, because they stopped the show and there was blood. They were covering Kung Fu Fighting and there was choreography...

So why am I laughing? I have nothing against Jimmy, but that's amazing. You have lived a rarified life.

Years later I saw Chuck Norris on TV and he talked about it. I guess he coached them on their martial arts moves. Good job, Chuck!

Hey D Dash, yes, nice college set. Reminds me of listening to radio in the late 70's, Balti centric. Thank you!

@Kelly The Limp Bizkit cover is not only tolerable, but actually likeable.

I'll think about it. I'd almost hate to break my streak of never having actually been in The Vogue. I've hung around outside for some reason...

um: That sound completely reasonable.
