Howdy, WR! Thanks for joining us.

Les Paul Trio, hot house band.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm
Krys O.:

Aye, and Frank De Vol is no slouch.
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:05pm
WR:

Never knew of this series. Amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm
Krys O.:

Enjoy!

Hello
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm
Krys O.:

Hi, MHLee! Glad you could make it.
  12:13pm
MHLee:

A little bit of golf bragging
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm
Krys O.:

Of course that's Les Paul on guitar there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm
Krys O.:

Ruben Gaines really lays it on, but what talents they were.
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:16pm
WR:

The dialog is clever.

Mr Fab:

Krys! I am actually semi-awake on this lovely Saturday morn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm
Krys O.:

Howdy, Mr. Fab! Hope some caffeine is in your cards this morning.
Avatar 12:20pm
Mr Fab:

Can of energy drink, chocolate croissant are in hand.
As much as I love Spike Jones, it’s nice to take a break and learn about new sounds until Jan returns.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm
Krys O.:

Thanks, Mr. Fab. That sounds like a balanced breakfast.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm
Krys O.:

There goes that prop gun.
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:23pm
WR:

They did it so musically, I barely noticed it wasn't usual instrument.
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:25pm
WR:

And then they "shot the bird" i case we missed the earlier shot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm
Krys O.:

The earlier shot was a miscue, I'm guessing.
Avatar 12:27pm
Mr Fab:

Kudos for not panicking, or losing their composure. The show must go on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm
Krys O.:

And the audience didn't react either.
Avatar 12:30pm
Mr Fab:

“I worship the ground your father discovered oil on,” ha.

Spike Jones named an album “Musical Depreciation”, but tho this is also a funny show, Spike had no involvement? Just a coincidental title?
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:32pm
WR:

Side nore, even though you are "publishing" each song on the playlist for some reason it is not showing in "now playing." And the The woof moo app just shows "intro".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm
Krys O.:

Thanks, WR. I did notice that from the beginning. Not sure why that would be the case.
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
WR:

I did a refresh of the app and the tune list showed up but without the time intervals.
  12:38pm
MHLee:

This reminds me of some of the musical Grinch stuff
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
WR:

Old Man River as Wagner opera!
  12:38pm
MHLee:

I might make a Halloween Episode with some of that
  12:39pm
Mr. Oxford:

Hello all!

Listening to the current time makes me wish everyone still spoke/sang to each other today the way thet did in the 1930s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm
Krys O.:

Hello, Mr. Oxford.
  12:39pm
Mr. Oxford:

*current track, I meant
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm
Krys O.:

@Mr. Fab: I could only find later compilations of Jones's that reference Musical Depreciation.
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:44pm
WR:

Ethel's voice from the beginning was way more like a valkerie that a swing band song bird. that was fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
Krys O.:

I'm a fan of Ethel.
Avatar 12:50pm
Mr Fab:

Mr Oxford: gee, that’d be swell!

Let’s all do our part to revive vintage slang. Why, it’s simply grand!
  12:52pm
MHLee:

The opening of this is almost identical to will all go together when we go
  12:52pm
MHLee:

I have a 78 collection called the naughty nineties from 1945 that has the song on it
  12:53pm
Mr. Oxford:

Mr. Fab: I am just now remembering that comedian Conan O'Brien would sometimes do a 1930s vintage talk with slang during his comedic bits. I felt the same way while watching those bits too. It would be swell!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm
Krys O.:

Interesting, MHLee. Pat openings were probably widespread. Easy on the band.
👻 Swag For Life Member 12:54pm
WR:

This is great Bert Lahr
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm
Krys O.:

Thanks, WR.
