@Woods: in the 12 years I spent on FB, I spent several years changing my profile pic daily with different artists I like. Adams, Dali, Van Wieck, Hopper, O'Keefe, Matisse & some others, mostly those in the realm of "different / surrealist" but others I stumbled upon as well.

I actually struck up a "friendship," online only, with Nigel Van Wieck. Interesting guy, quite nice to correspond with.

@PMD-wow, what a bummer. Yeah. Worse than death in some ways, yes. I am glad I wear a helmet snowboarding because I have hit my head VERY hard on the packed ski slope. Thank GOD for brain buckets. 92% is almost an A so you have a B+ chance of dying without a helmet.
I was in a mosh pit at a PIL show and they were playing Sex Pistols at the Palladium in 1986. A small girl teenager went into the Mosh pit-she was tossed around and I wanted to save her but she just got annoyed with me.

It was always the rule - when I was growing up in mosh pits - that you always helped people up and threw them back in the ring. last time I was in one it was that way. Last time I saw one with kids way younger than I it was not the case. Kids were getting trampled. They were missing the solidarity of the pit, I think.
