Motelli Skronkle! Whoah. I've seen them live only once in 1997 - though they are active to this day. I have no idea what line-up they had then - Markku Peltola was still alive (d.2007) as was Esko Varonen who died three years ago - but only three guys onstage, not four.

He has in fact recorded his own prog tunes with lyrics in the language, sung by the guy who creates languages for movies and TV, David Peterson.

Also, Handy, anyone, have you seen the tv-series Alhola? Motelli Skronkle guys acting. Very oddball stuff, MTV - that's MainosTeleVisio not Music Televison ;) - broadcast it was it 1990 or 1991? There were very few commercials (=mainos in Finnish) as the show had very little commercial appeal. I did not see it at the time, but apparently there was dead air(?) and one laundry detergent commercial during commercial breaks... There is a DVD, I guess no english subs. Sadly also lots of parts of the original sound were discarded as there was music like Led Zeppelin which was too expensive to be used for DVD release, unfortunately some dialogue went away there then as well. Motelli Skronkle guys were involved with theatre stuff, which is how they met in northern Finnish city of Kajaani while working at the local theatre.

English probly more a 'mess' than most any. But also adaptable in another way.
Many spellings from Old Germanic that haven't been pronounced that way in perhaps a millennium ? 'Thorough' ?? Sometimes no more than who had the first Printing Press sealed the deal forever more. Then also different Germanics met in the middle of Britain & said - ah hell, just add an 'S' for plurals & pep it simple... Then of corse the Norman Invasion added French like 'buffet' & more things than we think of... All of which helps put the lie to the 'This is Murika speak English' morons...

I particularly enjoy referring to my commute as taking me to your insular city of the Manhattoes, girdled round by wharves as Indian isles by coral reefs.

Another surprise I discovered during the aforementioned expansion of my The the audio archive was a track called "Cold Spell Ahead", which turned out to be a sort-of-demo version of "Uncertain Smile".
