Tomatoes are considered "berries"
Avatar 7:28am
dday:

I remember crawling through our farms (Montague,NJ) tomato "field" covering 200 freshly planted plants because of an impending hail storm. We used gallon plastic milk jugs cut in half to protect them
  7:28am
Pax:

One time I bought what I believed to be a organic tomato from a health food store a couple of years ago. I wanted to get that wonderful deep rich genuine tomato taste. so I paid three bucks for it, and what happened when I ate it of course. it tasted like an ordinary wishy-washy gmo tomato! I totally got ripped off.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33am
Jim the Poet:

It must be the poison berries I ate
Avatar 7:34am
dday:

The "organic / natural" market in the U.S. is an absolute crapshoot of pitfalls. There's hardly eneough inspectors to go around & certify growers so it's kind of left to them to "self certify." Of course that leads to many not being organic at all. Money, money, money.

"Natural" is a useless label completely. So vague state to state as what can be labelled as such.
Avatar 7:34am
Snortley:

Native Americans had been eating tomatoes for millennia before Europeans arrived, and they introduced them to the colonists early on.

Avatar 7:38am

I had a pal who included Yellow Bird in his repertoire; he played a sort of folk/calypso blend. I think Yellow Bird was an old calypso tune that possibly Harry Belafonte popularized in the Fifties.
