My son went to his prom on Friday (and had a great time), got some Caribbean food Saturday with Laurie, had a great breakfast (waffles) Sunday and went to a supermarket that features a guy singing classic standards in the aisles over the loud speakers. He totally made my day. And a double shot of Floyd keeps the ball rolling!

Syd Barrett, who at this time in his life was heavyset, with a completely shaved head and eyebrows wandered into the studio while the band was recording. Because of his drastically changed appearance, the band could not recognise him for some time. When they eventually recognised Barrett, Roger Waters was so distressed he was reduced to tears. Apparently, when "Wish You Were Here" was played, "Sid stood up and said, 'Right, when do I put my guitar on?'" Richard Wright recalled. "And of course, he didn't have a guitar with him. 	7:29am dday: Well, we needed to get out Sat. night so we went to Bethel Woods to see Brad Paisley. Really entertaining show. Incredible players (all 3 bands). The lines were blurred between country & rock with opener Tenille Townes (very good) covering Joan Jett and Brad covering both Prince,Van Halen & Don Henly (he's an amazing guitarist). Also a very cool, very large & clear video screen behind Paisley with some great video things. Glad we went.

It is a lot of fun but there are some sections where the river is impassible due to "aeration stations" (we shot through one of these once, thinking we had the skills to handle it, but the boat loses bouyancy in the aerated water and we almost lost it!). It's also possible to kayak through the locks and go out into the lake, where suddenly the gate-locks open and you are in the open water in medium-high swells. Tons of fun if you are a good paddler. In a religion that has had billions of adherents over two millennia, there's a wide range of different positions over the centuries, but some are on the cusp of the bellcurve, and nowhere near the hump of the bellcurve. I have a feeling Norman G was trying to write a weird but fun feelgood song about Christian ideas from his outside perspective, and mainstream Christian belief was not something he knew a lot about in detail, let alone small minority sects from 300 years ago.

A local historian told me they were used by the Underground Railroad to help hide slaves.

Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which, “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. The cost in lives on D-Day was high. It is a lot of fun but there are some sections where the river is impassible due to "aeration stations" (we shot through one of these once, thinking we had the skills to handle it, but the boat loses bouyancy in the aerated water and we almost lost it!). It's also possible to kayak through the locks and go out into the lake, where suddenly the gate-locks open and you are in the open water in medium-high swells. Tons of fun if you are a good paddler. In a religion that has had billions of adherents over two millennia, there's a wide range of different positions over the centuries, but some are on the cusp of the bellcurve, and nowhere near the hump of the bellcurve. I have a feeling Norman G was trying to write a weird but fun feelgood song about Christian ideas from his outside perspective, and mainstream Christian belief was not something he knew a lot about in detail, let alone small minority sects from 300 years ago.

Drella's jus a ball of energy & Squeezle having just turned 5 is a real puffball, so he doesn't like to be bothered. I have a chart that says Drella's human equivalent in years is about 11 while Squeezle's is about 36.

Past the second building, there is a path that leads up to the tracks. Cross the tracks and proceed down the embankment. You will see two sunken concrete areas each surrounded by fencing. An active drainage pipe flows into the one on the right. Two pipes open into the one on the left. The inactive one, on the right as you face them, is the Gates. Safety Notes: There used to be a ladder that would take you down into the sunken concrete area, but it is gone now. It is a short drop in but requires some scrambling or lifting to get out.
