"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

Amazing but true Chuk:

"The raga, for example, is a musical composition but actually it is seen as a living organism in continuous evolution, comparable to a biological species in which every rhythmic and melodic formula is a cell or organ of the creature. The composition is the result of this living, breathing, collective oral tradition. I think that Fantas Variations incarnates this vision. It is a celebration of the transmutability of music, and within this transmutability I wanted it to experience a collective, horizontal dimension that is also very intimate and affective. It is a work of support and co-creation, which I find is beneficial in this moment of isolation, and which transcends the usual functional and strategic use of remixes."

The second number is the important one...40, 30, etc. That indicates the viscosity when the engine is at normal driving temperature.

In summer, you could use a single viscosity oil (like SAE 30) if the car calls for 5W-30.

That's really cool, though I shouldn't be surprised, John Allen. So many jazz folks make a hell of a living in the pop world. A guy I knew in my NYC days, amaaaazing jazz keyboardist, ended up touring with the Bee Gees (as keyboardist and music director) and Ricky Martin.

I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I couldn’t see who you were going or what you were. This early marbles thing didn’t get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Delaney and the blender who had marbles out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded dumpsters-crashing-into-each-other stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someone is being pinched. Also did you know JA made this up? Then you play this long winded dumpsters-crashing-into-each-other stuff that really grates on my nerves.
