Ah, thanks WR, don't know those. I have read "The Downtown Book," and "New York Noise." Never got around to reading "No Wave." I'm sure there's some overlap.

It's as if America will limit access to Education in Schools & Shopping Centres. Before they will limit access to Assault Weapons.

Hey there, subterraneans! Sorry I end up getting to the comments so late. So glad folks appreciated the show again. We had a blast doing it!
Re: Bush Tetras- yep, Nona produced that album—they were terribly inspired by her.
On books about the downtown sound: I will recommend Vile Days by Gary Indiana, and the two books entitled No Wave, one by Thurston Moore/Byron Coley, the other by Marc Masters. Both are gems. Also NY Noise which originally accompanied the album of the same name. And check out Kyle Gang’s Music Downtown, and Love Goes to a Building on Fire by Will Hermes. Punk Ave by Marcade is a great first person account. Please Kill Me by Legs! This Ain’t No Zdisco by Kodak! Oh and Sonic Transmission (about Television), Kill Your Darlings by Luc Sante
