This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

Says Arthur Brown :
' Very sad news today - my sincere condolences to his family, musical family and friends ……
Klaus Shulze [sic] was, to me, the epitome of a sonic adventurer. He wielded the synthesiser like a mighty sword cutting into the future of music. Changing the way people heard sound. Giving electronic music a dignity equal to that accorded to the composers of classical music.
Alongside Jean Michel Jarre, Wendy Carlos, David Voorhaus and other brave souls, he planted the seeds that led to our much expanded musical soundscape.
I had the pleasure and honour to be invited to sing with him as the first vocalist to be invited to feature with him. We recorded several albums together. And did a 40 concert tour of Europe with just myself and
Klaus onstage.
I swear that on one evening -amongst the strange sounds that rose from the improvised universe we created in our sonic visions -And without any drugs whatever- once I palpably felt an ancient creature- or was it a future relative?-next to me onstage. It’s footsteps were quite thunderous, and it had the same vastness and unknowability as a rhinoceros. And without any drugs whatever!
I had the pleasure of recording in Klaus’ house studio in Celle. And of meeting his wife. My condolences go to her, her family and children, Klaus beloved and dedicated manager Klaus Mueller and all lovers of Klaus’ music.
I’m sure we will all miss him.
Certainly I am grateful that every now and again we will ,I am sure, find ourselves treating our hearts and minds to one of his generous sonic feasts on one or more media channels.
Ah - I see him now - conducting the choir of the newly discovered robot angels surrounding the newly revealed IT God.
Onwards Klaus! Onwards ! <3 '

Avatar 7:12pm
Flash Strap:

at the time of the album, Klaus didn't even personally own a synthesizer - tho there's clearly synths on this record, moog etc. - his first album is basically synth-free, achieving synthetic sounds by more immediate means

Golowin was a "myth researcher" from Prague who was living in Switzerland and met/gave assistance to Timothy Leary there - like Wegmuller, Leary introduced him to Schulze and Manuel Gottsching, et al, and they did a wild weird record together

was this cosmic jokers one of the surreptitiously-recorded jams you mentioned earlier flash?
Avatar 8:28pm

yeah - apparently Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser paid for everyone to get insanely psychedelicized and threw them in the studio and spun gold out of the jams, later dubbing vocals by his girlfriend (Sternenmädchen) and others, including Leary, and adding sound effects, remixing, etc. Schulze sued him for it

For 1974 - 75, these are listed as his studio inventory:
1973...Farfisa Duo organ, drums, EMS VCS 3, cheap effects, tape echo, second Revox, two little Farfisa mixers.
1974...Farfisa Duo organ, EMS Synthi A, ARP Odyssey, ARP 2600, Farfisa Syntorchester, tape echo, Revox, 10-channel Barth mixer.
1975...As above, plus Crumar Brass-Man, Crumar Multi-Man, Crumar Compact-string synthesizers, Syntanorma sequencer, 8-track tape recorder
