Thanks alanr! We're trying to keep safe here in NYC but I also feel we're losing the masking battle. YETI BOB, the Unisphere was from the 1964-65 World's Fair, which I was lucky enough to attend quite a few times because my family lived in Flushing. uuee, that story about the fireworks was true, and a cheap way to enjoy the fair. Michael, the Trylon & Perisphere were from a much older era.

Michael, are you an Alaskan citizen? If so I was lucky enough to visit Fairbanks over the Summer Solstice. Watching the Alaskan Goldpanners at an evening game without floodlights was surreal. Ran the 10 km race the night before in 49 minutes and finishing the race in daylight at 10:49 pm again was a blast

yeah, she's been coming around on and off since Feb. Our building seems to attract cats because we have a deck they can hide underneath. This isn't the first feral cat I've tried to help.

Last year I actually caught one with my bare hands - kind of tackled it. This cat, though, was so skittish I couldn't get within 20 feet of her. But a Havahart trap did the trick ...

All three of my cats are rescues from the outdoors, two brought in by my brother. Two are extremely friendly but the third still hasn't overcome her fears after fours years in our house.

Definitely try to keep the cat closed in a quiet room with food, water and litter for a day. It really helps them realize you're not a threat. Trust takes a while though. Good Luck!

Wow, that's interesting YETI BOB! I remember as a child when Manhattan made the avenues and streets one way. My Dad turned the wrong way on one of 'em, which was pretty scary. Wish they'd had a couple of days holiday for that!
