@ Dave: Could you find them in California?
Avatar 12:16pm

It looks like they've started marketing them in the US, although they're not in my local supermarket.

Too many jingles? let Jacques Plafond have a talk with that man.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:28pm
Jan Turkenburg:

:-)
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:33pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Jaques Plafond (pseudonym of artist Wim T Schippers) had a radio show in the 80's in which it always was a chaotic mess, with skits, extremely silly songs, all kinds of people stopping by (scripted but adding to the chaos) and even a jingle for the fact there was a new jingle. The show had more items than was possible to put in an hour-long show and he had a serious quarrel with the newsreaders of traffic information because he didn't shut up when they called out where the rush hour traffic jams were. So funny. So amusing. Really, it is legendary stuff.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:34pm
Jan Turkenburg:

He is also the voice of the Dutch Ernie of Sesame Street.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Very clever and funny guy. Love him!
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Indeed! And As far as I know, the Dutch version of Sesame Street is the only one that is allowed to create their own songs and sketches (on recordings) because the CTW loved what Wim T Schippers and Paul Haenen (Bert) do with the characters of Ernie and Bert
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Wim T is a national treasure.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:39pm

This BZN track is almost early Bee Gees. What a difference from the awful palingpop they made half a decade later.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:41pm

They're best album is The Bastard. A must listen!
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:41pm

Fred died in 'a mysterious professional killing'... sounds like there's a story there!
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:52pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Ah, I thought he accidentaly shot himself, but maybe it wasn't investigated by Jack Frost or Vera...
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:52pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Wiki: In 1994, Van Pallandt was shot dead on his boat in the Philippines by members of an Australian drug gang, a gang of which he is said to have been a member.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:53pm

he apparently also was a baron. my, my.

I happily shove that subject through to another film maker. And there was a movie about Ramses Shaffy, IIRC.

I really like this particular one. "She's never on time" :-) :-)
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:45pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

I think Boudewijn's lyrics and the Kecks' instrumentation don't match. The words are so super sixties and the band's sound is so eighties. It lacks the psychedelica.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:46pm
Jan Turkenburg:

I had to get used to it first, but I like it now.
