For example, the Arians (not 'Aryans') believed that the Son was not the equal of the Father.
Modern Catholics, at least as far as I know, believe that G-d is in some way absent from Hell, and that this separation more than (say) red-hot spikes is fundamental to the torment.

Well, it was likely really all a political thing, but the ostensible reason for the Western-Eastern split was arguing over whether the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father or from the Father and the Son ('Filioque'). Still pretty passive, but definitely in the thick of things.

I don't know what it means, but I'll guess it's Japanised Pali (the language of Buddhist texts).
O.K., after reading Wikipedia I'll bet it's Japanised Sanskrit.
Also unsurprising for a Japanese cult:
'
At the same time, the organization's political wing, the Happiness Realization Party, promotes political views that include support for Japanese military expansion, support for the use of nuclear deterrence, and denial of historical events such as the Nanjing Massacre in China and the comfort women issue in South Korea—see the Japanese-language version of the organization's online news bulletin, The Liberty.

Remember that for Trump 'evil' or 'fake' or 'un-American' has only one meaning: 'it made me unhappy', and any action allowable in pursuit of revenge against anyone who ever made him unhappy.
