Hey there Otis!

I have been working on enlarging my collection of library music the past couple of weeks. So much new sounds...
Avatar 3:05pm
worldsworstrecords:

That can get to be a very expensive habit, PK
Avatar 3:06pm
worldsworstrecords:

I love library music too, and its almost all thanks to Georgy and this show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

@ Darryl: I know. But for now I have a lot to keep myself busy with and figure out more about labels, composers and mainly, usefulness for my film projects.
Avatar 3:08pm
Domenic:

The Shadows!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

The film I have made that will premiere soon (the date has now been set at march 25) is full of library music.
Avatar 3:08pm
worldsworstrecords:

absolutely. I've found, for example, that I really like the Music De Wolfe stuff from the 60s, lots of KPM from the mid-70s or earlier and loads of Polish and Italian stuff from the 70s
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm
flannery:

hellooo
Avatar 3:09pm
worldsworstrecords:

How exciting, PK
Avatar 3:09pm

Hi Flannery!
Avatar 3:10pm
Domenic:

I don't know why they call it library music... I've been in plenty of libraries and never heard any of this music piped in....;')
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

@ Darryl 03:08: and that is also exactly what I really really like.
Avatar 3:10pm
worldsworstrecords:

@PK but I made the mistake of buying a load of DeWolfe albums from the 80s, and they're almost all as dull as bad wallpaper
Avatar 3:11pm
worldsworstrecords:

LOL Domenic!
Avatar 3:11pm
Mr Fab:

This is part two of an interview with Brian Bennett, drummer for instrumental rock legends The Shadows, and his subsequent move into soundtrack music. part one was his childhood, jazz drumming, then rock n roll came along. He took courses in composing, moving away from just drums.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

I mainly go for the 1970s period.

Hello @DJ GeorgyGirl hope you are having a beautiful day.
Avatar 3:12pm

Oh... and I really love the Chappel Telecineradio stuff from France... I've got maybe 10 albums of that and so much of it is fantastic
Avatar 3:13pm
worldsworstrecords:

No GG tonight solo... I'm babysitting HWM
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

The Montparnasse label also has some nice stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm
MHLee:

I only keep a few film soundtracks in my library. Midsommar is one... the wickerman is another
Avatar 3:14pm
worldsworstrecords:

I'll check that out, PK. The POlish composer/bandleader Henryk Debich is my new jam
Avatar 3:15pm
worldsworstrecords:

I think most of my soundtracks are of foreign films, MHL... mostly Almodovar
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

I love the stuff Gert Wilden did, the fuzzy guitar stuff for Schulmadchen report on Crippled Dick. And that's where my interest in that kind of music started. Beat at Cinecitta, Easy Tempo label things, etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

This stuff now playing is also great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm
MHLee:

Yeah, I lost track (haha)
Avatar 3:23pm

I think this might be 'Dreamy Images'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm

I have clickystarred the whole shebang already...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm

Avatar 3:37pm
