A fine influence Gentle Giant, Tony. Some fine tracks today, most I've never heard but that could be said of my whole Coulter experience and the radio station in general. And it has been said.

I saw Bubble Puppy many times and their record got airplay in Texas, never saw their record in a store. Even 13th Floor Elevators, I would have bought their record if I had ever seen it in a store. Not in Houston, Dallas or San Antonio, which I bounced between between 65 to 76. Don't know where people found their copies of International Artists artist's records. Maybe Austin???

Regarding memories of seeing and hearing Bubble Puppy. Just today I was reading Firesign Theater booklet accompanying their Live from The Magic Mushroom broadcasts which quotes Carl "Jaws" Gottlieb being purported to have first said "If you remember the 60s, you weren't there." Every time I saw Bubble Puppy they just happened to be playing at a free concert in a park where there were many distractions. The Elevators I saw in a smallish all ages music club and I was dedicated fan so that I remember fairly well. Plus I was very young at the Elevators show and so not stoned or involved in other distractions.
