	1:10pm Listener Robert: D'Gari is sold in groceries that cater to Hispanic or sometimes India-Indian clienteles. Lots of good flavors, and some are to be made with milk. Sweetened by a combination of sugar, sucralose, and acesulfame, so it's reduced-calorie but not diabetic-safe. This one's peach-flavored D'Gari gelatine, to which I added pre-boiled (to kill the enzymes) pineapple, blueberries, Cuties mandarin oranges, banana, and Bartlett pear. Marshmallow's a little tricky to add to D'Gari, since the instructions call for dissolving it all in boiling water, the way caterers make jelled desserts, rather than the Jell-o/Royal/Ko-Jel method of half boiling water, then cold water. So if I wanted to add miniature marshmallows, I'd have to wait long enough for it to not be hot enough to melt them. Next to D'Gari, Royal has the best flavors, and they come in either sugar or artificially sweetened, though stores stock less variety of the latter. Jell-o may be the concept leader, but they've been left behind flavorwise.

	1:22pm Listener Robert: They might be expensive because they're Hindu-compliant, and I think they're vegan. Actually for all I know even gelatines that come pre-made in individual serving cups like that might be just as expensive.

	1:29pm Listener Robert: Yep -- seaweed and fruit. They're shelf-stable, so don't look in a refrigerator case, Morgan. I can't remember the brand or brands, but you can often get them in Hispanic or Indian groceries in variety 6-packs.

	1:10pm Listener Robert: D'Gari is sold in groceries that cater to Hispanic or sometimes India-Indian clienteles. Lots of good flavors, and some are to be made with milk. Sweetened by a combination of sugar, sucralose, and acesulfame, so it's reduced-calorie but not diabetic-safe. This one's peach-flavored D'Gari gelatine, to which I added pre-boiled (to kill the enzymes) pineapple, blueberries, Cuties mandarin oranges, banana, and Bartlett pear. Marshmallow's a little tricky to add to D'Gari, since the instructions call for dissolving it all in boiling water, the way caterers make jelled desserts, rather than the Jell-o/Royal/Ko-Jel method of half boiling water, then cold water. So if I wanted to add miniature marshmallows, I'd have to wait long enough for it to not be hot enough to melt them. Next to D'Gari, Royal has the best flavors, and they come in either sugar or artificially sweetened, though stores stock less variety of the latter. Jell-o may be the concept leader, but they've been left behind flavorwise.
