In a way, the perfect way to hear them is to sort of miss the beginning, and then suddenly dial past it. Usually there was enough for me to dial back.

	👻 8:11pm austinrich: I was the child of a public radio volunteer, and as a youth dated the daughter of a librarian, so I was checking out Bob & Ray tapes from the library. (Probably the only kid my age doing that too.)

(A few words, or plenty of notes.) When I listen, it sounds scripted... but I would also believe that they are just that good, an improvised it all.

Dad is also a Dr Demento fan, used to see Tom Lehrer live when our fam still lived in NYC, and took me to Monty Python at the Hollywood Bowl when I was like 14. So there might be something to this whole genetics thing after all.
